SEMI-FINALS AND FINALS – SITES DETERMINED BY DISTRICT STEERING COMMITTEE.

SEEDING MEETING

SUNDAY, OCTOBER , 2010 @ TBD

A, AA – 8:00 A.M.

AAA – 9:00 A.M.

METHOD OF SEEDING

 

A – A maximum of eight  (8) teams will be selected and seeded by the steering committee based on a team’s interest in participating in the tournament and a team’s league and overall records and strength of schedule.

 

 

AA – A maximum of five (5) teams will be selected and seeded by the steering committee based on a team’s interest in participating in the tournament and a team’s league and over-all records and strength of schedule.  The top three (3)seeded teams will receive a Bye in the first round of play.

 

AAA – A maximum of twenty-seven (28) teams will be selected and seeded by the steering committee based on a team’s interest in participating in the tournament and a team’s league and over-all records and strength of schedule.  The top  four (4) seeded teams will receive a BYE in the first round of play.

 

General seeding guidelines for Boys A, AA, AAA classifications:

 

-         A lower place team in a League cannot be seeded higher than a team that finishes higher in that same League.

 

-         Where possible, teams from the same League should not play each other in a first round game.

 

-         A team’s past success or winning tradition in playoff competition should not be considered in selecting or seeding a team over another team that has a better record in that season.

 

Uniforms:  The higher seeded team will wear white (light colored uniforms) throughout the tournament and be considered the Home Team, Visitors will wear dark colored uniforms.
